Technopark "Ingria"

A techopark is a place full of innovative activity where cooperation between companies in the high-tech sector is accelerated due to the presence of a well-developed infrastructure and the availability of necessary services.

The technopark project will make it possible change the structure the employment of the population of Saint Petersburg, creating new jobs in the knowledge-intensive and intellectual branches of the economy, and will also make it possible to launch products with a major intellectual component.

The project for the creation of the "Ingria" Technopark envisages the construction of buildings with a total area of 320 thousand square meters, including:

• Office buildings for residents
• A business center with an instructional center
• An administrative building
• Data centers
• A hotel and conference center
• Residential space where employees of the technopark will be able to live for limited periods
• A multistory parking structure with built in retail and utility facilities

During the development of the project, due consideration was given not only to the technological requirements of IT companies, but also to the task of creating comfortable urban development of a fundamentally new type, involving the creation of significant green spaces and preservation of the natural landscape (about 45% of the area will consist of green spaces), environmentally friendly architecture, low development density (less than 40%) and a relatively low number of floors (8 on average).

The project for the creation of the technopark gives due consideration not only the technological requirements of IT companies, but also the task of creating comfortable urban development of a fundamentally new type, with significant green spaces and preservation of the natural landscape (about 45% of the area will consist of green spaces), the use of environmentally friendly building materials, low development density (less than 40%) and average building height (8 floors).

The project for the creation of the Technopark is being realized in several stages, to be completed by 2015. This timeframe was determined not so much by construction requirements as the readiness of the market of IT companies; after all, more than 14,000 jobs will be created at the technopark.

This project is being realized as part of an interegrated program, called "The creation of High Technology Technoparks in the Russian Federation" (established by an edict of the government of the Russian Federation, dated March 10, 2006, No. 328-p), part of the project is being financed as part of an integrated program entitled "Science. Industry. Innovation" in Saint Petersburg, which covered the period from 2012-2015 (established by decree of the Government of Saint Petersburg, dated June 28, 2011, No. 835).
