On November 7, 2011, Saint Petersburg will host a practical seminar entitled "Investment at the Pre-seed stage." The organizers of this event were the non-commercial organization "the Pre-seed investment Fund" of Saint Petersburg and the "Ingria" Business Incubator.

Speaker: Mikhail Rayak, executive director of the Pre-seed Investment Fund.

The following questions will be discussed at the seminar:

• The goals and tasks of the Pre-seed Investment Fund, the investment elevator in the investment ecosystem of Saint Petersburg;
• Volume and instruments of investment;
• Criteria for selecting companies/projects;

The investment process:

• What should be at the center of one’s attention when filling out an application;
• The RunUp stage, how it work, processes, incubation, documents upon market entry;
• The investment committee;
• Post-investment development.

The Fund’s withdrawal, second round investor, MBO, LBO. The Pre-seed Investment Fund, created as part of the execution of the Proclamation of the Government of Saint Petersburg, dated 11/15/2010, No. 1520 "On the creation of a non-commercial organization" called "The Pre-seed Investment Fund" in order to:

• Stimulating the development of a process in Russia for investing private and public funds in companies in the very earliest "pre-seed" stage of the development of their business;
• Significantly increasing the quantity and quality of small technological companies in Saint Petersburg, as well as the growth of existing ones;
• The creation of circumstances for the formation of a constant flow of transaction for existing venture funds in Saint Petersburg.

In order to realize the goals set for it, the Fund invests in small innovative companies that are at an early stage of development.
